Move your site
Bring your site over by its link
Give Zugo the address of a page you own. It comes across as it is and opens ready to edit, so you can change it by talking instead of rebuilding it from scratch.
What happens after the link
Paste the addressGive the link to your page. It is fetched as it is, with its markup, styles and text, and opens ready to edit.
Change it by talkingFrom that point it behaves like any Zugo build: describe the change in plain words and it re-tunes. No code required.
Take it away againDownload the whole thing at any time, on any plan. There is no charge for the ability to leave.
Only what is yoursTransfer is for pages you own. Ask for someone else's site and the request goes to a normal build instead, not to a copy.
Three steps
- 1Open Zugo and press “Move your site here” on the start screen.
- 2Paste the address of your page and confirm.
- 3Edit it in plain words, publish it, or download the files.
What does not come across
- 1One page per transfer: the address you give is the page that comes across.
- 2Links to neighbouring pages keep pointing at your old site until you move those too.
- 3Fonts served by the old host do not travel; the page falls back to close equivalents.
The full checklist for switching a domain, and what usually breaks on the way, is written up in the guide: moving a site to your own hosting
